In Unit 16, it taught about conditional and reported speech. There are five main conditionals. They are zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. It explained its form and usage for example, the form of a zero conditional is if/when plus present tense, present tense. The usage of zero conditional is when the actions and facts are undeniable.
The most interesting part of this unit is how to teach conditionals. The unit introduces some teaching ideas for example, split sentences, what a question! and more. My favourite one is complete he conditional. In this activity, students are given half a conditional and are instructed to complete them with their own ideas. I love it because it encourages student’s creativity and as a teacher I will get to know them more.
