This unit is very practical. It introduces a lot of problem situations that English teachers usually encounter in the classroom. The possible solutions suggested in the unit are also very helpful. Indeed, the responsibility of a teacher is a lot more than teaching English vocabularies and grammars. The teacher must also care about the learners' psychological aspects and solve various predictable and unpredictable problems occurred in the classroom. The unit serves as a very helpful introduction on what a teacher should do when 1) giving first lesson, 2) warming the learners up before the Study phrase of the lesson, 3) dealing with different levels of students in the same classroom, 4) dealing with large classes, 5) students are using their own native languages in the English lesson, 6) facing reluctant students, and finally, 7) students have difficulties with listening texts. Before reading this unit, I did not really think about problems that will occur in the classroom. This unit certainly provides me with a very refreshing view on the many possibilities in the dynamic and interesting classroom.
