Unit 12 demonstrates the Productive skills of Speaking and Writing as well as the introductions of games in the planning of the lesson. From being a student of a foreign language myself, I've often been more drawn to the speaking portion of the lesson rather than the writing portion. Simply because of it being more interesting and wanted to speak as soon as possible. Unit 12 focuses on how important both equally are and how to get students engaged in both. Writing for instance will be more formal than speaking and focuses on spelling, handwriting, layout, and punctuation. For correction of the written language would take more time to get feedback as opposed to speaking correction where one might catch the error mid speech and get instant feedback.
