Like present tenses and past tenses, in Future tenses we have different tenses such as: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, but also there are exist more forms of future tenses: be going + infinitive, present simple and present continuous (usually we use these form as present tenses, but also can have future applications). Future simple we use to express future facts and certainties, promises, prediction, assumptions, decisions, threats. Future continuous we use to say that something will be in progress at a particular moment in the future, to say what we think or guess might be happening now, to find out on polite way others people’s plans, to refer to future events which are fixed or decided. Future perfect we use to say that some action will have be done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future. Future perfect continuous we use to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. In future perfect continuous the accent is on the duration of the action. Form be going + infinitive is very similar with present continuous, but the difference is that “be going to” structure is always followed by a verb. We use this form for intentions, prediction based on present facts, plans. We also can use Present simple to express future: to suggest a more formal situations, timetables and schedules, to suggest a more impersonal tone. Present continuous we use for definite arrangements and for decisions and plans without a time frame. I learned that in the future tenses we can express future in so many ways, depends of the situation and time frame.
