In this lesson I've learned about different teaching methodologies such as Audio-Lingualism, PPP, The Silent Way, Communicative Language Learning, etc. It's apparent to me from this unit that elicitation in the classroom is an integral part of the learning process as motivation is key. I loved learning about the ESA approach because upon reflection about my own learning, I realize the importance of the warm up engagement stage, as well as the proper study and activation stages that follow. These were very effective for me and it makes me confident that this will be effective on others, as well. I also very much enjoyed and recognized the importance of error vs mistake, and how there is a difference between the two. In addition, it was great learning more in-depth knowledge about the proper correction of student work as this has further prepared me for the classroom environment.
