This unit taught that there are varying frameworks for teaching. Some are outdated and rarely used while others are frequently practiced. However, the widely accepted framework used is the ESA “Engage, Study, and Activate” Framework. It allows the student a warmup session to become comfortable, a study section where they learn new concepts and a wrap up session where they are allowed to use the language freely without feeling like they are being tested. Also, I learned from this unit that praising the student is just as important as correcting them and when correcting, the teacher has to be gentle and try not to offend or deter the students from wanting to use the language.
