Who knew there were so many different methodologies for teaching. I am familiar with the Classical Method. I learned about Pavlov when studying Animal Behaviour. I have never heard of Constructivism. I should imagine that learning the meanings of the coloured cones is like learning a language before learning a language!
So those rowdy teenagers playing loud head-banging music whilst revising were actually learning something - that is very funny!
The TPR methodology is good for young children as it provides both mental and physical stimulation. I see I shall have to watch a bit more Childrens' TV as I may pick up some good teaching ideas from them -now I realize that the presenters aren't actually all that crazy!
A BIG Thank You to Jeremy Harmer for his ESA methodology. Had I been taught this way in school (during the 70s and 80s) maybe I would have spent less time looking out the window!
