I learned about the four different past tenses in the English language. They are the past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and past perfect continuous. The past simple tense is used for a passed action when the time is given, when the time is asked about, ect. This tense has a lot of irregular verb forms such as see to saw and catch to caught. To teach these irregular forms, teachers could play various card games! The past perfect continuous tense is not used very much, but when it is, it's used to talk about longer actions in the passed that had been going on continuously up until the past moment we're thinking of. I also learned that the past perfect is equivalent to the present perfect tense!
