This unit covers three important aspects of teaching a new language: vocabulary, grammar or sentence structure and functions of the language. It introduced examples of the various ESA approaches that can be taken and would be more effective in teaching the different aspects. All three are important in helping students to fully understand, develop and communicate the English language. The unit also provided useful examples of activities that can be used in each stage of teaching.
