I learned in unit 18 about modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. This part of grammar is a whole new system complicated for students to learn as per this unit mentions it is important and can be included in every lesson and taught as we go. Jotting them down on the board on the side to see if the students are paying attention in the classroom for when they are being used. The modals can be obligation, possibility, permission, ability or advice. Modals do not change in the form according to person. The teaching ideas such as role-play, rules in hotels and traffic signs are great ideas. Passive voice is used often and here the object of an active verb becomes the subject of the passive verb. Phrasal Verbs are more difficult for students so as mentioned this could be kept track on and naturally used then in conversation with students.
