The phonetic script was by far a unique and unusual part of this unit. I can not recall the last time this was brought up in any of my education. English can be difficult to pronounce given the variety of ways consonants and vowels are strung together in a similar fashion only to produce different sounds depending on context and situation. I appreciated the detail in understanding the production of sound in regards to the body parts that are involved. I also enjoyed the Phonemic Symbols and the sounds they convey. I understand the challenge the English Language provides to the foreigner more after this unit.
