In this unit I have course books and materials. Learning materials are divided into are divided into two groups, authentic and created materials. The examples of authentic materials are programs, magazines, newspapers etc. The created materials are designed by the teacher to place or supplement materials from the course books. The examples of created materials are cross words, word search puzzles, role play cards, flash cards, gap fill activities and picture stories. I have also learnt that course book that they consist of set materials which are student's book, work book, cassettes, teachers book, and videos. There are advantages and disadvantages for course There are four different options for course use, omit, replace, supplement, and adapt. There are factors to be analyzed or considered when choosing the book. The teacher must check the price, the availability of the book, the design, the methodology, the skills,difficulties of the book and the syllabus to check if it covers the the language points for the level, the teachers guide and what supplementary materials.
