In this unit have learnt about the various methodologies of teaching and how to deploy them.
I have also learnt on the various ways to elicit as much information from the students, I find these techniques very helpful as they will aid me; a new teacher in using a variety of ways to engage students and illicit from them. This will be stimulating for both the students and the teachers.
The games suggested in this unit are a good refresher for me as I have played some of them when I was in school, I absolutely agree with the ideas for engaging students as it will create a relaxed environment and ease the tension in the atmosphere. I also feel that these methods are thought provoking and a channel to build confidence in the students.
The correction techniques have given me a guide on how to introduce and facilitate correction in the classroom without negatively affecting the student or making them embarrassed. These techniques adequately guides the teacher not only on correction methods and how to deploy then but also on the use of correct/appropriate timing.
