This unit covered advice on how to manage classrooms, with information on how teachers should utilize their bodies, (eye contact, voice, and gesture) to maintain a classroom and its learners motivated, engaged, and learning. The unit also covered how students should be grouped, how classrooms should be arranged, and for what reasons teachers should engage with students detailing specific ways to establish rapport, to maintain discipline, and to give instructions. All this content was extremely new to me, since I have never taught any group lessons. I was a bit uneasy to teach group lessons precisely because I did not have this information, but now I feel more confident to do so.
