This unit showed me how to best focus on the learner's receptive skills of reading and listening. These are two things we often take for granted. As a learner, it is important that both reading and listening skills are being used and evaluated throughout the lesson - especially with ESL classes. Reading material can help some students if they are visual learners and listening can also help some learners if they are audible learners. Both are important methods to incorporate in teaching.
