Unit 6 tells us about Past Tense in the English Grammar. The Past tense consist of four forms: Past Simple, Past Continuous,past perfect and past perfect continuous. The Past Simple is made up of the subject and the base form of the verb plus ed and d except in the irregular forms. The past continuous is made up of subjects plus the past tense of the auxiliary verb. The past continuous is used for interrupted past actions. The past perfect is made up of subject plus had and the past participle of the verb.The past perfect relates the past in the past. It looks at the person from the past perspective. The past continuous perfect is made up of the subject, had,been and the present participle of the verb. It is used when talking about longer actions in the past and these actions has been gong on continuously up to the past moment mentioned.
