This unit taught me about how to approach first lessons, as well as how to best approach having classes with students of varying English ability, students who have trouble with listening texts, as well as classes with a large number of students. I also learned that while I should not ban the usage of students' native language in the class, I should try to use English as much as possible and encourage the students to use it as much as possible as well while explaining things or preparing lessons in ways that allow them to use only English in the classroom.
