I personally think that lesson planning is a great tool every teacher should endeavour to have. Reading from the units and with some experience I have had teaching, it is most useful to have a lesson plan because it aids the teacher know what he or she expects the learner to know at the end of a lesson and what the teacher personally aims to achieve. It is undoubtedly a good reference point in the course of teaching so the teacher does not necessarily veer off the main objectives for a lesson. As a record, the teacher is able to know how much language has been taught for easy review purposes in later time periods for the purposes of reinforcing what has been taught and learned. Learned to use the lesson flexibily and not rigidly to the letter. Proper organization also becomes possible with lesson planning and preparation.
