I think its important to evaluate and test students throughout their semester. Most students are learning English to pass and do well on an external exam. I think its really important that they're prepared for these exams. I think by having test will help them be prepared for the environment and the stress with passing such a big exam. I think it also helps you understand how you can improve on teaching material and learn areas that you can go back and review.
