This unit is about evaluating the students, and testing for different purposes. The unit shows how and when to use for example placement tests, progress tests, practice tests and diagnistic tests. We also go over some various external exams and certificates, and their uses. I have learned that in the start of the course it is a good practice to give students a placement or diagnostic test to assess which level they are on, which class they should be placed in, and help the teacher prepare materials and lessons that match the students level of language. I also learned the importance of progress tests, to assess ongoing what the students have learned, and where they need more focus.
