This unit describes the four form or aspects of present tense of the verb including simple present, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. There are various usages of every form depending on the purpose and the time the activity happened. For present simple, it is used to present ideas about habitual or routine activities, present stories, hitorical sequence, commentaries, general facts and giving directions. For present perfect, it is used when we talk about things taht are currently happening, emphaisize actions frequently done, and background events in a present story. meanwhile, present perfect is used when we are talking finished actions that happened without specific details, talking something happened in the past that may still be true at the time of speaking and when describing past actions with present results. Lastly, the present perfect continuous is helpful when we talk about ongoing activity and how long it has continued.
