Unit 15 describes about evaluation and testing. It covers different ways of evaluating the students’ levels and progress. There are many ways to assess the students including tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. Tutorials are hard to do for individual student although the teachers have the option to it in group and ideally done on the last 10 minutes of the class session. Evaluation by the students on the other hand is done by asking them about the course if it’s too difficult or too easy as basis for future lessons. Meanwhile, test which covers a lot of varieties depending on the purpose is also done to evaluate the student’s skills, levels and progress. It includes placement, progress, diagnostic, practice, general external and Cambridge assessments.
