This was definitely a good refresher for me as I am very confident in my written and spoken mastery of the English language, and often correct other's mistakes. But I realize now that my main skill is by hearing/reading mistakes but it is hard to verbalize or explain to others the why behind certain rules. It has been a very long time since "grammar" (elementary-middle) school and diagramming sentences, so I had forgotten a lot of these terms and their proper application. Again, when I read or hear a phrase that is incorrect English I can tell the person the correct way of saying or writing it but could probably not explain the reason or rules why. Therefore, this section (and upcoming sections as well) will be very valuable to me to be able to teach these concepts effectively and explain the many intricacies and nuances of the English language.
