Chapter seven was very confusing, because speaking in the future seems so simple but now, after seeing all of the written rules I’m not too sure I’ve been using the future tense correctly. The subtle differences makes me think that it could potentially be the hardest tense to teach both young and adult learners. I imagine that a lot of role-playing and example sentences would be necessary when teaching this tense. I appreciated the comparison part at the end of the task review. Having to workout those differences, using my notes, between Present Simple, Future Continuous, “Going to” definitely helped me gain a stronger grasp on the usage of the future.
