Due in part to human nature, there are many different types of learners and teachers, and the key to being an effective teacher is to keep these differences in mind and adapt one's teaching style depending on many factors. This means adapting your lessons to the age and skill level of the students as well as trying different techniques to see which lessons or styles work in which classes or even from student to student. Teachers must be mindful of the age, culture and experience of their students and be observant and willing and able to adjust the lessons to a group or individual as needed. Good teachers keep their minds, eyes and ears open to mold their lessons to the students and to constantly keep engaging the students.
