I found this unit to be particularly valuable because I had very little knowledge of proper teaching methods prior to reading this. This unit also caused me to reflect on some teachers I had for second language courses in the past (Spanish in this case) and realize that they used similar methods when trying to teach me and my classmates. I particularly enjoyed the section on the proper ways to correct students as it is something that I have always worried about when it comes to my future teaching career. It is important to be able to correct students, but I would never want to cause offense by doing so.
