In this lesson, I learned about the different seating arrangements you can setup in a classroom. In the past, I taught classes of 40 students. As a result, I never had the luxury to form the tables into a horseshoe shape. Pair work or group work is something I rely on to increase student talk time. However, with large classes, I find that groups need to be selected carefully in order to prevent noise levels from going over the top.
