The material given in this section points out the value and necessity for lesson planning and the required preparation before going in to teach a lesson.It is most important to have clear objectives about what you would like the students to learn in a specific lesson so time is not wasted going over too much material or teaching points.I have learnt that thought and prior preparation of aids,materials and activities help ensure objectives are more likely to be achieved on the first lesson around a teaching point.It is good to have a planbut also be prepared to be flexible as humans are not robots and unforeseen problemscould arise.For example if a lesson plan is too rigid based around some a/v equipment and the power is cut then" what will I teach now" would be an issue but if contingency alternatives have been covered then an objective can still be achieved.
