This chapter explained that learning vocabulary consists of more than just the definition. For a student to feel comfortable speaking a language in real world situations they need to have a true understanding of the term at hand. There are different contexts, appropriateness, multiple meanings and most importantly, spoken English can and usually sounds different than written English. I’m glad to have the example ESA lessons, which aided me in building ideas of my own. I am interested in seeing practical example ESA lessons for Adult learners. I’d like to know what those teacher uses for the older age groups. But as always very interesting.
