Lesson planning is a vital part of being a teacher but is even more important for new and inexperienced teachers to work through what works for each particular teacher and develop one’s own style over time. This unit had very useful examples of sample lessons following the structures reviewed in prior units using ESA but expanding and giving examples in a complete lesson plan format. This unit is also a helpful reference with worksheets for lesson planning and for self-reflection and improvement. Journaling in this way could be one effective tool towards growth as a teacher as you can chronicle the successes and what didn’t work or needs tweaking.
