This unit was helpful for how to choose the language point you want to focus on in any given lesson; whether it be vocabulary, grammar or language function. The example lessons on each language point were especially helpful. Also, helpful was that this unit reiterated that one must have a balanced approach with your lesson plans and not focus too much on any of the three points: vocabulary, grammar or function, but that any language achievement requires study and application of all three to be able to use language effectively.
