This unit introduces a lot of practical techniques for classroom management. Firstly, how a teacher should uses physical expression effectively in class. Secondly, the pros and cons of different groupings that can be used in study and activate phrases. Thirdly, what positions students and the teacher could be in the class according to the classroom arrangement. And then, a proper way to write on board, giving individual attention, TTT and STT, how to give instruction, build rapport and discipline the class.
It's such a challenge to consider all these factors of class management when prepare a class. It seems to me that, I have to thoroughly think about every possible situation which may come up, so that I can be ready to act on all of them. Under this situation, I need to practice beforehand using these techniques by imagining how to interact with students in my mind and try to act by looking into a mirror.
