The unit gives an overview on the use, formation and teaching conditional clauses and reported speech. Conditional clauses can be as follows: those that refer to irrefutable facts or actions; talk about 'real' situation in the future which depends on the condition; unreal hypothetical situations; hypothetical 'unreal' situation; or a mixture of those mentioned above. While teaching/learning reported speech it is very important to know back shifting rules. This grammar section is very important as well as very difficult both for teachers to explain and for students to understand.
