The unit explains the two productive skills: speaking and writing. In speaking activities, there are proper stages in which to teach accuracy (study stage) and fluency (activate stage). Examples are given as to how the teacher can encourage students to speak during a lesson, and how certain problems can be overcome. In writing activities, attention must be given to handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation. Various games are considered as to their usefulness in teaching language. Games are valuable in that they add motivation and fun to the lesson.
