This unit focuses more on how to introduce and teach vocabulary, grammar and their functions in language to students. There are four key points teachers should remember when designing a lesson for their students: they must be exposed to the language, understand the meaning of it, understand how to construct it, and they must be able to practice and produce it. This unit showed us the key concepts for selecting what to teach and different techniques for teaching those concepts, for example vocabulary and grammar will not be taught in the same manner. This unit also gave us some basic ideas for lesson plans following the ESA method.
