Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit I studied the different ways that we can talk about future in English, and how to use them appropriately according to what we want to express: intentions, promises, plans we have already thought about or spontanous, predictions, scheduled events, others. The material of this unit comprises the most important usages, grammar structures and teaching ideas about the seven future tenses: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going (future) and the use of simple present and present continuous for future references. I think after reading this unit I realized how complex the future tense can be for us as teachers and students, and how important it is to know the differences and proper usage of all this tenses to express ideas in the future. It can be difficult for teachers and students since one can forget about when we should use one of them or the others, as in daily speaking it’s quite common to express future ideas without thinking too much about whether the use is correct or not, sometimes interchanging it, even more for our students to understanding, since the differences in the usages may seem very slight in some cases. I learnt a lot with the tasks in this unit, because they made me practice ¨clearing doubts¨ and giving examples of my own as If I had to explain this topic to my students, complemented by the activities that we can include in the activate parts in our lessons. I think this gives us good training so that we can able to answer any questions about this matter, when students ask about the differences between these tenses, for example, the present continuous and be going to future.
