In this unit, we explored the productive skills speaking and writing. Key points that I took from this section are the following:
- Writing is overlooked when teaching English as a foreign language is overlooked
- The teacher needs to create the need and desire for students to communicate
- Accuracy and fluency are different, but equally important. They have different activities where one should be emphasized over another
- Incorporating games into a lesson can be very effective in motivating students
I will try to incorporate creative writing games in my future classes because I think that will be very effective.
