This unit is about the productive skills, which are speaking and writing. It covers the most important aspects and issues to consider when teaching lessons focused on speaking and writing. When it comes to the speaking part, activities such as drillings, debates, dialogues and communication games can be included in our lessons to help our students practice their speaking skills. However it is important to make sure we encourage our students, which we can do by helping them build their confidence, bringing to the class activities where they can feel the need to communicate and that cover interesting topics, as well as it is important to create a comfortable atmosphere where they can participate and be creative. This unit also covers key points on writing, so I could understand how we as teachers can make our students improve their handwriting, spelling and creative writing. Finally I could study about the inclusion of games in the classroom, and how they, along with teaching strategies can help us, as teachers, and our students.
