Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit I was able to learn more about the subjects: modal verbs, passive voice, phrasal verbs and relative clauses. When it comes to modal verbs, this unit contains the basic grammar rules and includes a very useful chart with the correct usages and how to identify the functions in sentences containing these verbs (to express abilities, necessities, obligations, give advices, and others) along with teaching ideas to boost our students comprehension about this topic. In the same way, as of the passive voice, I could learn about the differences between the two types of sentences: active and passive, and especially about the passive structure, which is not as common as the active in daily conversations but is still very important in some contexts, such as in academic writing, articles, and news, as well as how we can use it when we want to put emphasis on the actions in sentences rather than the subject or people performing. Out of these topics, what I think I could learn the most about are phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Relative clauses in my experience are always confusing for students and I think the explanations contained in this unit can be very useful to reinforce the way we usually teach this. Regarding phrasal verbs, the unit covers the three types of them, however I consider this is also one of the topics of greater complexity for students, because there are several phrasal verbs and their meanings vary so much. So it’s always good to reinforce our knowledge on this topic, look for creative activities where our students need to practice phrasal verbs in context, so that they can be able to learn to use them naturally, because the fact that they are so different to use, can sometimes cause frustration in our students.
