When learning a new language, it is easier to memorize vocabulary and grammar rules however actually being able to read and listen to understand is different. The teacher needs to make sure that as they teach the vocabulary, grammar and rules that they also teach the importance of knowing how to listen to the language to grasp understanding and comprehension. The teacher should learn what is a topic of interest to the students and try to incorporate that into the topics selected so if the material is presented in a fun, positive way then the student is more likely to grasp and understand the lesson.
