Course books are a great tool for teaching when they are used in conjunction with other materials. These books should serve as a guideline for the teacher and the students however the teacher needs to know the advantages and disadvantages of using them. The teacher should know the comfort ability of the students and make sure the course book aligns with the lesson at hand. The teacher can combine supplement material as needed and should be able to gauge the pace at which the class can go in according to the course book and supplement material. If given the opportunity to provide feedback on which coursebook to use, an experienced teacher should try to find the book that best aligns with their teaching style and success. Many inexperienced teachers may just find coursebooks a great way to build their practices for teaching in the classroom as they learn to adapt to each new class.
