This unit covered teaching receptive skills. I had not realized that receptive skills could be broken down into the 4 categories as this is not something native english speakers typically think about. However, I found it very helpful to understand how I would teach these different skills when they are broken down, such as how students may read for different purposes and how that effects they're motivation and understanding of a material.
