Sources and resources are helpful to creating higher levels of interaction and engagement in lessons, thus in turn, supporting greater progress and higher levels of learning. They do this by reducing teacher talk time and centering learning on the student. Careful selection is always the key. A good resource is only as useful as how the teacher will use it. Any tool can be under-utilised or over used. Planning the what as much as the how are important factors to consider. Ensuring the workbook/textbook is a resource and not the only tool in a lesson is a joy to hear. Some teachers like workbooks and others are less centred on them.
