In this unit, we are learning about lesson plans. Even though I have been teaching for fifteen years, every time I have to do a new lesson plan I find it very difficult. Every school has a different system, a system that works for them. I have even scripted lessons for my three years old for two years. Now we go with the flow, writing our lesson plans based on the student’s interests, what I find extremely complicated when you are trying to teach a second language.
Lesson plans have to be tailor-made to meet your unique needs as a teacher. We know our students best and we know what they need and how the need it.
These examples are good guides, but as the unit mentions, lesson plans have to be flexible and responding to the needs of the class.
