This unit covers all the past tenses, namely simple past, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous, when they are used and the common mistakes students often make. The definitions of when to use a particular tense (especially of the latter difficult ones) are clear, so I find it easier to explain to my students. My students struggle a lot on mixed tenses, especially the perfect tenses. I hope there will be a chapter on that as well.
