Today, I learned a lot about different teaching techniques and methodologies. It made me reflect on my own teaching and tutoring experiences. HAd aI know about ESA lessons, I'm sure my lessons would have been doubly effective. For example, engaging a small child first will be a lot more effective rather than jumping straight into the lesson. This was they are able to see the connections. I was also glad to learn that ESA lessons are not super strict/rigid, they can boomerang and repeat aspects, thus the lesson will be less predictable. But I think the section on correction had the most impact, as I am never truly sure, when I actually should correct a student, but now I do have a clearer idea.
