In this section we learned about how to teach pronunciation and phonology. Both go hand in hand, in teaching how to say words basically. There are only so many sounds that make up the English language, but all are mingled together to create words. Being a native English speaker, we often are not the best teachers in this aspect due to our lax behavior on speaking correctly. What comes to mind specifically is the way we join sounds while speaking: linking, sound dropping, sound linking and extra lettering. These concepts come into play when we are talking regularly with peers, like changing "butter" to "budder" or combining "Ann and I" to "Annan I". All can be tricky when trying to teach as a foreign language, but practice really helps and is key. A lot of actually practicing saying syllables, morphing the word and feeling how your mouth creates the sound is very key when teaching.
