In this section, I learned about how to manage a classroom, from where the teacher should be positioned, to the amount of time a teacher should talk in class. With an appropriate amount of eye contact and gestures, the teacher should be able to keep students engaged and be able to monitor them during class. Although it can vary from activity to activity, how the teacher groups the students is very important and should be different each time. Allowing the whole class to participate in an activity can be just as beneficial as smaller groups or pairs, because the pressure for students to answer each question is very low, and with good rapport established in the classroom, there should be little stress on the students. When writing on the board, the teacher wants the least amount of time with their backs to the students, so we should prepare ahead of class or write short amounts, then turn to the students, the latter can help with confusion as to what we are talking about.
