Section 3 focuses on different types of teaching methods, teaching practices, and theories revolving around a student's ability to learn. This section breaks down the different teaching methods and the varying ways in which students acquire knowledge. Correcting the students too much can hinder their ability to learn or retain the new language, and allowing them the freedom to make mistakes and correct themselves is essential to helping them acquire a new language and speak comfortably. Through this lesson, I found myself surprised that the course took into account the mental and emotional states of the students, rather than just giving the technical descriptions. I learned about several different teaching methods and theories that I had no prior knowledge of.
