With regards to learning a language, I found it useful to break down the passing on of information into subgroups. By identifying the difference between receptive and productive skills, it becomes easier to offer activities that specifically lend themselves to these skills. In a way, the receptive skills are somewhat more difficult to monitor because of there passive nature. This unit provided a way to focus on each of them.
